WaveGard will be speaking at a Cisco Mid-Atlantic User Group (CMUG) event on Wednesday, April 15th (tax day!) being hosted by our friends over at NetCraftsmen. Rick Dreger, President of WaveGard, will be kicking off the interactive presentation and then Geoff Giulino from Meraki/Cisco will be following up with some fascinating hands-on demos.

The event is titled: “Making smart cybersecurity decisions… and implementing them with Cisco Meraki” and will focus on how to think about identifying and managing risk and then managing it with Meraki. It seems like this equipment is often thought of only for their access point technology, but its integrated management approach and firewall/switching equipment makes it an interesting consideration for lean-IT organizations. While I don’t want to spoil anything from the presentation  consider this thought – How secure is a piece of equipment that, while technically amazing, is so complex to configure that your team tends to leave it alone?  — Can anyone relate to this? ;-D

See the invite below…  Hope to see you on the 15th!
